    Abstract

    This thesis presents the history of mathematics and focuses on Greek mathematics; it talks about Greek letters, accents, diphthongs, numbers etc. The core of this work is intended for interpretation of geometric terms - originating from classical Greek. Because of that I added a dictionary of most often used words in secondary school.
