    Abstract

In this diploma paper we tried to introduce the experiencing of school anxiety by students with specific learning disabilities at subject Physical Education. The aim of our research was to find out whether students with specific learning disabilities, which are in Year 6, 7, 8 and 9, experience any school anxiety and how often. Besides that, we were interested if there are any differences according to the age of the students and if there are any differences between the students with specific learning disabilities and the students that have no specific learning disabilities. We wanted to find out if students with specific learning disabilities are afraid of certain exercises and which are they. The research was empirical and was based on a descriptive method. The questionnaire consisted of 21 statements. Students ranged their experiences from 1-4. The chart ranks the occurrence of statements from least common »1« (never) to most common »4« (always). We included 18 boys and 6 girls with specific learning disabilities and 6 girls with no specific learning disabilities, which are in Year 6, 7, 8 or 9. We analyzed the data with SPSS program tool. We compared the differences with a t-test for independent samples. We calculated the frequency of the answers, percentage of distribution of the answers, arithmetic mean and the standard deviation. We came to the conclusion that none of the questioned groups experiences school anxiety at subject Physical Education. They like Physical Education. They are not afraid of activities in the swimming pool, of climbing and of ball games. They do not experience school anxiety if they are graded, if they are forced to do a certain exercise, if the teacher is angry, for not doing the exercise correct and if there is any possibility of being laughed at or being injured. We did not find any differences according to the age of the students with specific learning disabilities.
