    The main purpose of this thesis is to get to know the work of a social pedagogue, that works with a mobile educational service in a school with adapted program, and to learn how they maneuver between the needs of children (especially the needs of children with problems in social integration) and the demands of the system, that determines how successful these children should be. While researching the work of the mobile educational service, our main question was, how social pedagogues work inside the rigid system that works with children with special needs. At the beginning of this thesis, we explore the process of coordinating children with special needs in a regular elementary school, with emphasis on directing children with problems in social integration. The next chapter presents the first attempts of a mobile educational service and the main characteristics and guidelines for a mobile social pedagogue. In the empirical part of this thesis we tried to see the reality of a mobile educational service by analyzing the interviews that were conducted with seven mobile social pedagogues. We wanted to find out, what role does a social pedagogue have in a mobile educational service, what is his field of work, what is their opinion on today’s system of directing children with needs, what are the working conditions that are provided by this system and what are the main problems they face in their work. By analyzing the interviews we got a glimpse into the important work that is provided by a mobile social pedagogue. The results of the research shows that the professional profile of social pedagogue is still not sufficiently recognized in the field of elementary education of children with special needs. Participants in the interviews mostly want higher professional support, networking and the exchange of methods and tools.
