    Abstract

    This work focuses on the mini computer Raspberry Pi, based on the Linux operating system. Through the basic and advanced examples it shows the use of components for capturing data and interfacing with the physical world. It explains the Python code for each example in detail. The examples are useful for teachers, who want to start using Raspberry Pi in their robotics class and Python programming. It is as well useful for enthusiasts in the filed of hoby robotics and programming with mini computer Raspberry Pi. Experiance gained with this research are synthetisized in a prototype expansion board for Raspberry Pi – together they become an interface with many capabilities useful for teaching robotics.
