    Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to determine and evaluate motor abilities of first grade students in elementary school Mazembe in african country Malawi. Sample covered 48 children, aged six and seven. Their motor abilities were verified using Movement Assessment Battery for Children (ABC Movement). We wanted to determine if children in our pattern have motor difficulties and if there are differences in motor abilities between boys and girls. We explore in which tasks are they most and least successful. As we predicted all the children were the least successful in hand skills because of lack of experiences. According to the results of test we made program for developing motor abilities.
