Bread in Slovenian regions

    The thesis presents the project research problem of a closed type about ‘Bread in regions of Slovenia’, which was performed in kindergartens. This approach allows children that through their own activities gain learning experience and information necessary in the process of solving the problem. In the context of our project ‘Bread in regions of Slovenia’, children were gathering different information about bread with the variety of techniques, in various regions. In this project children have learned about collaboration, searching and regulating information. In the theoretical part I wrote about learning in the preschool period, active learning, research-oriented learning and project work in kindergarten. The empirical part of the thesis contains the project of solving the problem of a closed type titled ‘Bread in regions of Slovenia’ and its evaluation. I allowed children to reach conclusions and solutions by themselves in an active way, which also triggers developing meta-cognitive skills (procedural level project) and attitude towards cultural heritage and health (content level). The aim of the thesis was to monitor the effectiveness of research-oriented learning.
