    Thesis titled »Analysis of the Great Storytellers collection – study of Kalilah and Dimnah« is divided in two parts. The first part consists of the research of youth literature. Also unwritten, but spoken fairy tales, written fairy tales and »Great Storytellers Collection« (all twelve chapters) and their authors, are presented. Data about the authors were gathered from analyzed books, Lexicon of World Literature, Overview of World Literature and from English Wikipedia. Data about the youth literature and beginnings of fairy tales were gathered from various sources, which are listed in chapter titled »Literatura in viri«. Data about how »Great Storytellers Collection« arose and how the works and the authors were chosen were extracted from the editor of the collection in question Andrej Ilc. The second part contains more detailed anaylsis of fifteen chapters from Kalilah and Dimnah. The work of »V. J. Propp: Morphology of the Folk Tale« was used in the analysis.
