    The thesis will present a volnurable family facing multiple problems. In the theoretical part, I will focus in detail on the systemic perspective of studying or researching a family. In the following part, I will state the elements of the family dynamics, and describe families with multiple problems as well. In the empirical part, I conducted a case study of a family with six members from Ljubljana. I was interested in the functioning of the family through the nature of relationships, emotions, communication and education of children, and obstacles which the family or its individual family members face. An important conclusion is that the dynamics are a strongly besetting cascade of reactions in the way family members respond. Relationships in the family are based on the circular dynamics. Therefore, the symptoms of an individual must be considered as a result of the dynamics of family relationships. Based on the results of the case study I established that the family dynamics is threatened by many factors and that the family members often experience some kind of distress, emotional and material. The positive side is that despite all this, they do their best to try to survive from day to day. These ordeals often connect them even more which must be taken into consideration in planning the support interventions for families.
