    Abstract

In this diploma thesis three dance elements are covered from the dance as well as from the physical point of view. For every technique and performance of an individual dancing element, there are certain laws of physics, which the dancers use unconsciously. Throughout this thesis I added characteristics of physics to instructions that the dancer receives for performance of an individual dancing element. I recorded the three selected elements with a high-speed camera and using these recordings I closely examined their physical background. At the end I presented those elements as models of movement, which can be used as teaching material in schools. Students thus learn new kinds of movements and are able to realise that physics are present in our everyday lives, even if sometimes we do not realise it.
