    Abstract

    The graduate thesis with the tittle The role of literary and technical texts in the programming language education in kindergarten consists of theoretical and empirical work. In theoretical part I write about the definition of literary and technical texts, texts characteristics, how literary and technical texts impact on children's development and what are the criteria for the right choice of texts in the preschool period. The aim of graduate thesis is to determine which texts are teachers of preschool children the most favoured and most used in language education in kindergarten. In the empirical part I focused on teachers of preschool children who I inquired via questionnaire, which literary and technical texts they give moreemphasis in kindergarten.
