This diploma work is focused on imaginary trees as new ancouragement for child’s imagination. The theme for the paper was chosen after consulting with my tutor Gordana Schmidt. Since this way of work was previously unknown to me, I decided to accept it. It represented a new challenge for me. The purpose of this diploma work is to present to the children different types of trees for a fantasy story and to encourage their power of imagination. In this way child's imagination and creativity is enriched. The empirical part was carried out in a group called Ladybirds, which included children from 3 to 6 years of age. It took me two months to carry out the project in which a camera and written notes were used. In this way I was able to estimate the progress made by each individual child in the field of imagination and creativity. The theoretical part is focused on child's abilities, creativity and imagination. At the same time it deals with the role of child's gender and his or her interests. Moreover, the paper focuses on child development stages, music and movement. The empirical part includes fantasy stories which were written down and analyzed.
