I have dedicated this dissertation to represent trees by drawing and process art. Central issue of this research is to fuse dead abstract drawing with completely alive ecosystem, living in the handmade recycled paper. "Live drawings" indirectly present the connection between man and nature; or with other words the relation between micro and macro cosmos. In the artistic theoretical part, I have been exploring diverse subjects which are nevertheless closely connected in their basic. Their correlation is an attitude towards nature, intimacy and infinity. Presented chapters or ideologies were crucial for development of my art works. Simultaneously it is a philosophy of Zen, the bridge between fine art and natural. In its principal, Zen represents the cycle of existence and transience. Personally, Zen represents the law by which I have been orientating while exploring this dissertation. Shortly, I would describe it with Andy Goldsworthy words: change-light-story. Seven stories of trees are noted by the drawing on handmade recycled paper, which is at the same time the holder of ecological design. Together with the artistic part, ecology draws a red thread through my dissertation. The theoretical study is supplemented with the interview, where I have spoken with an academic sculptor, Zoran Srdić. We have been discussing, issues of Slovenian contemporary fine art with the view on process and bio art in Slovenia. His insight in temporary situation is exposing Slovenian artists, who could be pioneers of such art in our country. In my teaching or pedagogical part I have tried to achieve similar results with pupils of primary school of Rodica, Domžale. Creating "live drawings" has been interesting and instructive for me and for them, but at the end we have all agreed to one thing; "Only when you try to draw a bark of the tree, you realise what a great artist nature is and we have no idea about it."
