    Abstract

    Re-creating literary texts is one of the most frequently used activities that follow the reading of literary work. Through re-creating pupils meet the goals that promote activities related to the presented litarary work in the literature lesson. The thesis explores the question about the ways of re-creating literature by third class pupils. I was focused on the re-creating differences between urban and rural children. The theoretical part presents literary texts (their purpose, the school interpretation of them and their contact with readers), literary and verbal creativity (the development and its ways of promoting) and all about re-creating literary texts (the differences between creating and re-creating, the types and phases of re-creating, its purpose and also its placement in the national curriculum). In the empirical part I analysed the questionnaires which were answered by teachers of urban and rural schools. They presented their thoughts about the concept of re-creating, expressed their opinions about the promotion of re-creating through the goals from the national curriculum, indicated the most frequently used activities of re-creating in the class and at home, and showed the participation in the Cankar Award contest and the children's feedback on it.
