Abstract
The thesis addresses the role of women in the family, and the coordination of the latter's career. Women has always been prescribed role of mother and housewife. The graduation walk you through different periods of time and you can took a closer look at how this is reflected in the given period. In the past, a woman with a career was something unfathomable and almost unacceptable. From industrialization more and more women has family and career and they have to find the right balance between that. In some cases, the woman is still misunderstood and has no support in the area to build their careers. We can see that the contribution of men in housework and child-rearing is still significantly smaller than the female. In the empirical part I made 4 interviews. Through their analysis I looked how it looks in practice work-sharing within the family, husband participation in child labor, and the reconciliation of work and family in modern times. I interviewed two representatives of older and two of younger generations, and compared the difference between the current situation and how it was 50 years ago. I found that in my case there is no significant difference between the past and today, women are still the ones who take care of most household and children.
