    Abstract

    Placement of adolescent into juvenile institution is an important step for him or him towards the right direction, which, in case of incorrect placement, can be detrimental for him or her as well as for other adolescents around him or her. Therefore, placement in a suitable juvenile institution is of crucial importance. In our diploma thesis we wrote about the importance of collaborative work between experts from different institutions in putting adolescent into juvenile facility. The importance of cooperation between the court, social work centre and juvenile institution seems very important to us, as each of them adds a unique piece to the mosaic towards a sound, common decision on adolescent. With the help of empirical part we found that cooperation much depends on the engagement of a professional working in this particular area. Cooperation is better than we thought it was before starting to write this diploma thesis, however, obstacles still exist (particularly old resentments) as well as ideas and solutions for work in the future. As main problem all three sides highlighted inadequacy of current juvenile institutions for population, which has changes and is being placed into juvenile institution. An idea is a new juvenile institution which everyone describes as utopian in these weak economic times.
