    In the thesis are presented in detail smoking and physical activity and their impact on the health of teachers and students. Examines in detail the harmful properties of smoking on the body of passive and active smoker. If only these were kept to a minimum, it should be educate of all generations negative properties and to ensure that the correct model for the youngest. Best replacement of these habits would be physical activity, which has a great deal of positive effects on the body and mind of the individual. Research shows that individuals who regularly play sports, easier to deal with everyday challenges and have better body condition. In the empirical part presents the study of smoking habits and sports students of the Faculty of Education. It was attended by 58 students in the academic year 2010/11. The questionnaire was used to determine what percentage of those surveyed smokers about their smoking habits. The second part of the questionnaire related to leisure time and how often students play sports. The survey results were exceptionally good, and it appears to have been covered only 3 % smokers and 7 % ex-smokers. The majority of respondents are regularly involved in sport, often 1-2 time a week. Their free time most prefer to go on a walk, but many are also watching TV and playing computer, listen to music and some of them tend to play sports. The vast majority is positive about physical education and believes that their active lifestyle.
