Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with a curve cardioid. There are basic descriptions of it and in connection also made calculations of surface area, arc length, object's surface area and volume, which we get with rotating cardioid around it's own axis. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to thoroughly study mentioned curve. For this purpose there are being presented different formations of cardioid and also connections with other curves. In conclusion we look at cardioid in connection with other science and suggestions for school presentation.
